In the privacy and comfort of your own room or at a nearby spa, pamper yourself with a massage or a relaxing facial.

Let us arrange this luxury for you.

Enjoy the White Mountains on foot. Adair's innkeeper can advise you on the many stunning hikes in the area. Take a gourmet picnic backback and have a great day out.

We have a list of the best trails and hiking information available collected by ourselves and other hikers.

Golf

Flatwater Paddling & Canoeing

There are more than 20 golf courses around Adair. Golfers can swing on historic courses edged by mountains following the rugged natural contours of the land. Adair has partnered with many courses in the area to offer fantastic stay and play packages - please discuss with the innkeeper when making your reservation.

Remote, underdeveloped with great mountain scenery and wildlife- quiet water paddling at Long Pond in Lincoln or Streeter Pond in Sugar Hill.

For the more adventurous, try the class I-II white waters of the Ammonoosuc, Gale and Connecticut Rivers.

Family or group trips available.

Renting equipment available.

Horse Riding

Sports

View the White Mountains on horseback. Day rides or shorter available at a number of stables in the area. Guided and private rides available.

Play on our tennis court, or we can organize indoor tennis, squash, swimming and aerobics minutes from Adair.

Fishing

Wildlife & Bird Watching

Anglers can wet their lines at any number of streams, rivers, lakes, and ponds in the White Mountains. Fish for brook, brown, or rainbow trout, bass, salmon, northern pike, and other species. Fishing licenses are required.

One of the most often asked questions is, "Where can we see a moose?" While we hesitate to guarantee moose sightings (they do tend to wander) we have drives, routes and suggestions on the best places to spot wildlife. We can also arrange a guided tour to suit your schedule.

Adair is dedicated to lessening its impact on wildlife and the environment. This commitment has led us to implementing the Adair Green Program which includes working with a forester to optimize Adair's land to attract butterflies, songbirds and small animals.

Bike Trails
Scenic Drives

There are numerous mountain bike trails in the area, cross country and wilderness. Many on-road and off-road options exist for cycling enthusiasts. Strike off on your own or join one of the local bike clubs on their weekly rides.

Come explore the highways and byways, and discover what's just up the road: the timeless villages and fascinating small cities, rolling farmlands and deep green forests, soaring mountains and sparkling rivers, lakes and waterfalls.

Antiquing

Tax Free New Hampshire Shopping
A visit to Adair allows you to see antiques in their original setting, while providing easy access to many of New Hampshire's antique stores. Be sure not the miss the League of NH Craftsmen in Littleton, the Ammonoosuc River Trading & Auction Co in Lisbon.

There are a variety of quaint shops in neighboring Bethlehem and Littleton. Among the more popular with our guests are the Village Bookstore (a gem), Pentimentos, Duck Soup gift shop (cookware) in Littleton, WREN in Bethlehem and Harman's Cheese Shop in Sugar Hill. Maps of all "must-see" places are available as well as discounts to some shops and restaurants.

If you want to take advantage of the absence of any sales tax in New Hampshire and do some "major league" shopping, it is a straight shot east (about 60 minutes) to North Conway, the outlet "Mecca" of northern New Hampshire featuring over 100 name-brand outlet stores.
